10am - Fulton Farms Tour: Winner of 2008 Barn of the Year Award

We will be touring the Fulton Farms multiple farmsteads, incredible barns, and grain storage facilities. Admire the numerous acres of berries, corn, pumpkins, and Christmas trees. Learn about Fulton's organic weekly home delivery, "The Happy Box".

11:30am - 12:30pm - Lost Creek Reserve & Knoop Agricultural Heritage Center

Learn about this historic homestead, donated by the Knoop family to the Miami County Park District. There is a cluster of barns on the property built by the Knoop Pioneers. They include a Sweitzer bank barn, a buggy barn, and corn crib and blacksmith shop. There will also be information about this newest addition to the park system, and its intended use.

2:30pm - 5pm - The Staley Farm & Mill
7095 Staley Rd, New Carlisle, Oh 45344

The Staley Farm & Mill is listed on the National register of historic places. We will tour the magnificent buildings, barns, and the rare 1818 double water gristmill, complete with 2 burrstones, & wooden gears. This 160 acre farmstead has been the subject of magazine articles and some folklore. It will be the highlight of the day!

There will be printed maps handed out the day of the tour: however, anyone with internet access can visit Google Maps to see the overall driving route.
